1: When preparing your washing machine, use warm water instead of hot. Your clothes will be just as clean, and you will save energy and money at the same time.
2: Do not keep your refrigerator at the absolute minimum temperature. You can conserve a lot of energy by turning your dial up a little, and your food will stay just as fresh.
3: Be conscious about using your air condition and/or heater in your home. If you can easily keep yourself cool or warm by using other means, this will drastically lessen the amount of energy you use.
4: Turn off computers and televisions when they are not in use. There's no need to use energy for something you're not using.
5: Be sure to keep lights off inside rooms that are not in use. Make it a habit to always turn off the lights when you exit a room.
